Syst-A-Matic Tool & Design, Inc. is a family owned and operated business founded in 1983 by Alden Hills, Bruce Hills, Jeff Hills and Ken Miller. All of our original partners were Certified Toolmakers. Jeff left the company to join the Ministry. Alden passed in 2016 and the company was then owned and operated by Bruce Hills and Ken Miller, the founder’s son and son-in-law. After the sudden passing of co-owner Bruce Hills in 2018, Ken Miller assumed full responsibility of ownership and operations.
While in its early years the company focused on the U.S. automotive industry, today’s customer base is spread over a wide range of industries located both in the U.S. and internationally. The company’s expertise is in the area of precision machining and mechanical assemblies. Our skilled employees, using customer prints or existing components, turn steel, aluminum and plastics into the parts and mechanical assemblies that power our customers’ companies and products. The plant’s location in Meadville, Pennsylvania, one of the U.S.’s major tooling centers, allows quick and easy access to many suppliers of supplemental materials and services.
Syst-A-Matic has been a proud member of the NTMA since 1983.
